Sven supports local hospice by donating upholstery offcuts

#Recycle #Reuse #Reimagine – reducing waste responsibly

Up and down the country, the care given by hospices is free of charge. 100% of their patient referrals are made by the NHS, yet they only receive a small fraction of NHS or government funding in return.

So, to provide a range of free services to ensure patients and families living with an advanced or terminal illness can make the most of their lives, hospices nationwide rely heavily on an army of volunteers and public donations.

Hospice charity shops are a lifeline: always in need of stock from donations of furniture, clothes, bric-a-brac, etc. It is these that help raise funds vital to financing specialist end-of-life care, as well as expert support for loved ones just when they need it the most.

However, sometimes donated furniture needs a bit of TLC before being put on display.

Behind the seams

Sven is proud to support Phyllis Tuckwell Memorial Hospice – a charitable organisation local to our Surrey HQ – by donating commercial upholstery offcuts for renovating seating .

Our materials help transform frightful florals to fabulously fashionable furniture. In the hands of their skilled upholsterers, our offcuts and discontinued fabrics, vinyls and leather turn the tatty into trendy, super stylish seating ready for sale.
