West Midlands factory photo wins Portraits of Britain 2019 competition
Sven is delighted to announce that a picture taken at its manufacturing base is one of 100 winning photographs in the Portraits of Britain 2019 competition, organised by the British Journal of Photography.
Celebrating the country’s diversity, the photographs will be exhibited throughout September on JCDecaux screens nationwide: on bus stops, high streets and in train stations, as part of the biggest exhibition of contemporary portraiture ever held in Britain.
The thought-provoking images will also be published in the Portrait of Britain Book Vol. 2 distributed worldwide – making them visible to an audience of millions.
Sven’s in-house Graphic Designer, Jaroslaw Jordan (known as JJ) photographed Christopher Millward working in the Metalwork department during a factory photoshoot in January.
“It’s such an honour to have your work judged as among the best by such a prestigious organisation,” says JJ, who is looking forward to meeting fellow winners at the awards celebration on Thursday 12th September at Canary Wharf.
