NEW | Contemporary collections for Clerkenwell Design Week
Sven to reveal striking NEW furniture to mark the anniversary of opening its inspirational London Design Studio and invites you to ‘feel the difference’ with its NEW collections of beautiful tactile finishes.
Clerkenwell Design Week 2018 (#CDW2018) sees us celebrate the London Design Studio’s first birthday by expanding our successful Ligni™ table and bench range with a selection of stunningly stylish additions.
As a British designer and manufacturer of high-quality office furniture we have seen demand for this sustainable ply-based range skyrocket since we previewed the collection at CDW2017.
Fashion, form and finish
The Ligni collection addresses the growing commercial trend for ‘resimercial’ furniture design that blurs the lines between home and work. Ligni also brings hints of nature into the workplace with the warm timber accents of its ply detailing.
With a structure of FSC/PEFC birch ply, Ligni furniture is an immensely strong and environmentally-friendly choice with a distinctive look. The palette of potential finishes and combinations is exceptionally wide: tops may be in veneer or MFC (including a choice of new soft-touch matt finishes), and legs may be faced in a wide range of veneers and laminates. Individual legs can even be specified with integral cable risers.
It’s all in the finish
We also invite you to ‘feel the difference’ with the launch of two beautiful new collections of tactile finishes:
- 3D MFC: Timber MFC finishes have been getting progressively more convincing over recent years, but these new synchronised finishes – where the relief imprint directly aligns with features on the surface – mark a quantum leap forward in realism
- PerfectSense Matt: Nine contemporary matt shades featuring a warm velvety surface with innovative anti-fingerprint properties that prevent unsightly smudges and smears.
“Clerkenwell Design Week is the ideal launch pad for exciting new additions to our portfolio,” says William O’Brien, Managing Director. “And our distinctive London Design Studio the perfect setting.”
“As the home of our design team, the space continues to inspire creativity,” William explains, “And hosts a reference library of a varied and expansive choice of finishes – including colours, patterns and textures from leading suppliers of upholstery fabrics and carpet tile collections, LED lighting and the latest in videoconferencing technology – all within a stimulating but relaxed environment.”
This exciting, creative and collaborative space – showcasing our capabilities to furniture specifiers, architects, commercial interior designers and their clients – has gone from strength to strength since first opening its doors at 111 Charterhouse Street in May 2017.
